How To Upgrade Samsung Galaxy Mini to Gingerbread 2.3.7

ok now let me share another tutorial upgrade for galaxy mini. it is been a long time i didn't post any tutorial for galaxy mini. then because one of tutorial for android blog subscriber ask me to post tutorial flash gingerbread 2.3.7 for galaxy mini i will do it now :D

Before we start maybe you want to read my previous tutorial upgrade galaxy mini to gingerbread 2.3.4. To install gingerbread 2.3.7 you do not need to install the previous version. you can just install it directly. 2.3.7 is the latest version of gingerbread for galaxy mini and sure if it is more stable and fast compared then the another prevoius version. Now before we start the tutorial installation guide you must prepare the requirements.

Requirements

• Download S5570_Odin_Multi_Downloader_v4.38.exe
• Download Tass-Recovery-CWM = http://adf.ly/CMI1a (copy to your browser)
• Download update-cm-7.1.0-GalaxyMini-KANG-signed-09102011.zip = http://adf.ly/CMFQn
• Update ROM CM 7 RC 5.2  http://adf.ly/CMKfn
• Download TASS.ops   http://adf.ly/CMGOv
• don't forget to backup your phone see how to backup android phone
• Do With Your Own Risk

After you have download all the file above then lets go ahead to the instruction

Flash Clockworkod Recovery

skip this section if you've installed the CW

1. Download: TASS-recovery-cwm.tar
2. Run S5570_Odin Multi Downloader v4.38.exe
3. Select Options TASS.Ops in OPS
4. Check the One Package
5. Select-recovery-Tass cwm.tar the One Package
6. Click Start and wait until the Finish
7. after wipe data / factory reset

How To Upgrade Gingerbread 2.3.7 for Galaxy Mini

1. Download and copy ROM CM7 RC 5.2 to your  SD Card. remember place it on the outside
2. Reboot and go into Recovery Mode
3. Select install zip from sd card - choose zip from sd card find  ROM CM7 RC 5.2 that has been placed on the SDCard - Select Yes - Install update
4. Wait for it to finish and reboot
5. Wipe the HP and reboot
6. done

To install this update you don' need to upgrade to 2.3.3 first, you can directly update with tutorial below.

i have made tutorial with the latest firmware here. read upgrade galaxy mini to gingerbread 2.3.7
The excess Gingerbread (2.3.4) compared to Froyo (2.2):

• GB refine the graphics display and improve the performance of Gaming
• GB optimize the Dalvik VM, if running games / programs that require large memory then the Gingerbread will be more responsive than Froyo.
• GB already supports VoIP and SIP protocols. So we've been able to phone calls via the internet via Skype or Yahoo Messenger.
• GB adds new multimedia formats, including AAC, AMR (for Audio format) and VP8, WebM (for the video format). So more audio and video formats that can be played by Android.
• GB supports a more powerful task manager, to monitor and control the program.
• GB Keyboard easier to use and facilities cut, copy, paste easier. It would be very useful for newbie no longer make multiquote trouble.
• GB add a new application download manager for easy download the file from the internet.
• GB add Soundmixer to create better sound effects.

First download the required files here:
- gingerbread 2.3.4
- ODIN
- TASS_v1.0.ops
- don't forget make nandroid backup see how to create nandroid backup

Tutorial upgrade to gingerbread for galaxy mini:

1. Extract your downloaded file: gingerbread 2.3.4, ODIN, TASS_v1.0.ops(password=samfirmware.com or sampro.pl if needed).
2. then open odin
3. change your mini galaxy to download mode (press the volume down button + middle + off button)
4. later if the ODIN have succesfully read and connected to your galaxy mini, the box collor wil change to yellow
   
   
5. That must be filled in Odin:
   OPS = TASS_v1.0.ops
   BOOT = APBOOT_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5 PHONE = MODEM_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02.tar.md5
   PDA = CODE_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
   CSC = CSC_S5570SERKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
6. after you finis fill the file and then click the start button
7. wait about 5 minutes until everything is finished and there is written in the top box pass odin

then your galaxy mini will have installed Gingerbread 2.3.4 on it.. :)

Tutorial Upgrade to Gingerbread for galaxy mini

hello everyone, and good evening. Now i want to share step by step how to upgrade your galaxy mini from froyo to gingerbread. for you that still use froyo can follow this tutorial below.
this Gingerbread is the final version, before going into the final v3.0 gingerbread, you should follow tutorial below. if you want get news, application, games, and more stay update with this tutorial for android blog.

ok, first download the required files:
Andro-ID v3.0 RC1
CSC_MULTI_S5570OLBKB1_CL931794

then follow this tutorial below:

• Download first the two files above, when it
• extract the Andro-id v3.0 rc1 file, then will appear 4 file and a program odin
• then open the Odin
• change your galaxy mini to download mode (press the volume down button + middle button + off), plug your mini with usb
• then after your mini had already read all by odin the box collor will turn into yellow in odin

• That must be filled in Odin:
  OPS = TASS_v1.0.ops
  BOOT =APBOOT_S5570XXKPF_CL189639_REV02_user_mid_true.tar .md5
  PHONE = MODEM_S5570XXKPF_CL189639_REV02.tar.md5
  PDA = CODE_S5570XXKPF_Andro-ID_V3.0_RC1.tar.md5
  CSC = CSC_MULTI_S5570OLBKB1_CL931794.tar.md5
• then START
• wait for about 5 minutes until everything is finished and there is appear pass written in the top box odin
• finish

note:
• If you still wear mini firmware default, can be directly upgraded to the gingerbread, I've tested it
• there are still many bugs in this version because it is not the final version, the final version will soon follow the tutorial
• if you fail to fit odin, remove the batteries, close the Odin, replace the battery, go again Download Mode, go to Odin, try again.
